April Fools'
Day is known
as "Poisson
d'Avril", (April
Fish.)
The tradition
involves the
exchange of
small fish-
shaped paper cutouts among friends and
family. These fish are often attached to the
victim's back without their knowledge, and the
goal is to see how long it takes for them to
discover the prank. The French look forward to
the playful atmosphere and creativity that
surround Poisson d'Avril each year.
